House Warming Gift for Friends

A few months ago now close friends of ours moved into their newly built house. As a small congratulations gift I created the below for them and was very happy with the result. Although a small amount of products used weren’t Stampin’ Up! (as I was only starting out.)  I managed to get as close to the stock items as I could but was fortunate enough to have my upline Kristel Rimmer whom leant me products.

The Pop and Twist Card below was taught to me by Kristel whom cased the wonderful idea off Jan B on YouTube or follow her on her blog

Products Used

DSP- Falling In Love

Cardstock- Thick Whisper white, (Lilac cardstock was from Spotlight- the closest colour to match the DSP would actually be Blushing Bride)

Other Materials- The diamantes, flower stick on embellishment and ribbon were purchased at my local spotlight.

Framelits and Thinlits- Large Letter framelits, Layering square framelits, Window box thinlit dies and Bold butterfly framelits

Stamps- Flowering Fields (Sale-A-Brations), Flourishing Phrases Stamp Set 2 of 2

The window box thinlit dies are a very versatile set as they can be used in a variety of ways. Until next post Enjoy getting creative!

Onstage Perth 2017 Swaps

After having a hard time trying to decide on what to create for my onstage swaps I just had to trail the ‘Fruit Stand DSP’ to create a variety of designs- honestly who can resist a good fruity pun!

I had just purchased the Up and Away thinlits which I couldn’t wait to use. Using the embossing heat tool and powder I was pretty proud at how well my cards turned out (although I admit it did take me a little while to master the technique for a clean print.)

The Blooms and Bliss DSP has been my all time favourite colour wise and has been used quite a lot (It is a shame that it isn’t being carried over, but at the same time as left space for all the new and awesome DSP’s.)

I hope you all enjoy my little creations and can possibly get some inspiration for gift cards, or to case the idea and make them your own…..

  • If you do decide to case the idea could you please attach a link to my page, as it would be greatly appreciated! Until then keep Stampin’

I became an Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator in January this year after my husband with the help of my upline and great friend began to purchase Stampin’ Up! surprises for me. This ignited a creative passion for scrapbooking and paper craft that I had long since let pass by. So began my renewed love affair and shared passion for paper crafting. I had the opportunity to attend Onstage Perth 2017 with my ‘Paper Adventures’ team and it gave me a the drive and inspiration to challenge myself and to help teach others that they too can be creative! So without further ado here are a few of my creations so far!

Welcome to “Tall Journeys” the meaning for me personally represents ‘growing strength from life’s worst possible scenario one can face and turning it into a positive through paper crafting therapy.’ Being an Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator allows me to follow my passion and to carry on the values that Stampin’ Up! represents- “To LOVE what we do & SHARE what we love as we help others to ENJOY creativity & worthwhile accomplishments.”
