Team ‘Masculine’ Paper Adventures

Welcome to another fantastic year with Tall Journeys,

Celebrating the 2018 Year with my Paper Adventures Team and our January Blog Hop with a ‘Masculine’ twist.

The best thing about being in a fantastic team like ‘Paper Adventures’ is that everyone supports, encourages, shares with each other, become great friends and so much more.

As I currently don’t have any ‘masculine’ stamps in my collection I was fortunate enough to borrow a couple off Kristel Rimmer from ‘Secretly Scrapbooking’ who is also my upline in our Paper Adventure team.

Considering I don’t create male cards all that often (funnily enough it’s not on purpose.) It has definitely been a way for me to get creative and think outside the box. As I also celebrate a birthday of a great male friend of mine what better way is there then to tie the theme into a personalised handmade card for him.

For this fox inspired card I have used

Soft suede cardstock (base) and for the fox (I have taken use of the fox builder punch), whisper white cardstock for the inside and the front section of the card with a fox sentiment from the Truly Tailored Stamp Set cut using the tailored tag punch. The log stump is fussy cut crumb cake cardstock with the foxy friends stamp set.

Using the dauber technique (my new found love and favourite thing to do) I used the following ink colours- pool party, chocolate chip, tip top taupe and crumb cake. For the trees I have used mossy meadow and old olive (foxy friends stamp set). For a touch of different colour I have used the crushed curry twine. I also must say I do love the 3D mini dimensionals (even if the little pieces end up travelling everywhere throughout the house.)

The second card I created used the same Soft suede, crumb cake and very vanilla card stock with the foil frenzy DSP. Using the hexagons embossing folder and stitched framelits (square and oval) I used the spritzer for the embossing folder and then  ran it through the big shot before using the dauber technique with crumb cake, tip top taupe and chocolate chip ink. Bakers twine came in handy to add that different element to the card. The sentiment stamped on very vanilla is from Botanicals and You stamp set whilst the vehicle stamp is from Guy Greetings.

For an extra bit of surprise I have created the above desk calendar using chocolate chip cardstock with chocolate chip, tip top taupe ink with basic black vehicle from the Guy Greeting Stamp Set. Coloured using the aqua painter and an array of neutral inks. I have also used the square framelits (positioned to create a rectangular frame.)

I hope you enjoy my cards and continue along with the hop where you will meet Kelly Kent from mypapercraftjourney and her unique creations. Just click the ‘NEXT’ button to continue.

until next month keep safe
